“As I stood there reflecting on how faithful God had been to me, my family, and our church, something began to rise within me,” he recalls. “It wasn’t a sermon. It was a song. The melody came first—gentle yet powerful. Then the words followed naturally: ‘Jesu do…’”
What began as a personal expression quickly became a collective worship experience. Without prior rehearsal or arrangement, the musicians and congregation joined in, creating a spontaneous atmosphere of thanksgiving. That moment would later evolve into the song now known as “Jesu Do.”
