The story behind my journey is one marked by faith, courage, and purpose. By profession, I am a trained banker, educated and shaped within the discipline of finance and corporate structure. However, beyond my professional career lies a deeper calling—music. Singing is not merely a talent I possess; it is the divine assignment that defines my purpose and gives meaning to my life.
I was born into a family deeply rooted in traditional beliefs, where ancestral customs and indigenous practices shaped our worldview and spiritual expressions. As time passed, a significant transformation occurred in our household—my entire family embraced Islam, adopting its teachings and lifestyle wholeheartedly. This shift redefined our spiritual identity as a family and influenced every aspect of our daily lives.
At the age of eighteen, my own spiritual journey took a defining turn. Through personal encounters, inner conviction, and a deep hunger for truth, I made the life-altering decision to convert to Christianity. This choice did not come without its challenges. I became the only Christian in my family, navigating faith in an environment where my beliefs differed sharply from those closest to me. Yet, even in isolation, my resolve remained firm. I found strength, comfort, and direction in my relationship with God.
Following my conversion, music became my spiritual refuge and expression. I joined the church choir as a chorister, using my voice as an offering of worship and devotion. From that moment, singing evolved beyond melody—it became a ministry. Each song I sang carried prayers, testimonies, and a longing to see hearts transformed. Despite personal struggles and societal pressures, my commitment to serving God through music never wavered.
My deepest desire is to touch lives and draw people closer to God through the songs I create. I believe music has the power to heal wounds, restore hope, and speak to the soul in ways words often cannot. Through my journey, I have learned that obedience to God’s calling often demands sacrifice, but the reward of fulfilling purpose is incomparable.
This passion finds expression in my song “Take It Easy.” Unlike traditional worship songs, Take It Easy is a lively, danceable Afrobeat track infused with wisdom for everyday living. The song carries a simple yet profound message: patience is essential in life. In a world driven by comparison, competition, and constant pressure to “catch up,” the song encourages listeners to slow down and trust their personal journey.
Take It Easy speaks against jealousy, unhealthy comparisons, and the anxiety that comes from measuring one’s success against others. It reminds us that everyone’s path is different, and progress is not a race. Life unfolds in seasons, and fulfillment comes from walking at your own pace, trusting God’s timing, and embracing contentment.
With energetic rhythms and relatable lyrics, the song delivers encouragement in a joyful and refreshing way. It invites listeners to breathe, reflect, and enjoy the journey without resentment or self-pressure. Beneath the vibrant Afrobeat sound lies a message of wisdom, peace, and emotional healing.
Through Take It Easy, I hope to inspire patience, gratitude, and self-acceptance. It is a song for dreamers, for those feeling left behind, and for anyone learning to trust the process of life. Above all, it reflects my journey—walking by faith, embracing purpose, and using music as a bridge between God’s truth and everyday life.
