ARTICLE: The Second Coming of Christ — The Blessed Hope of Believers

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a foundational doctrine of the Christian faith. It represents the ultimate fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. Jesus promised, “I will come again” (John 14:3).

Scripture teaches that Christ will return in glory, power, and righteousness (Matthew 24:30). His return will bring judgment, restoration, and the establishment of God’s eternal kingdom.

The Second Coming offers hope to believers facing persecution and suffering (Titus 2:13). It motivates holy living and faithful service (2 Peter 3:11–12).

This doctrine reminds believers that history is moving toward divine fulfillment. Christ’s return assures victory over sin, death, and evil. It calls believers to remain watchful, faithful, and ready.
