Holiness is a calling for every believer. 1 Peter 1:15–16 commands, “Be holy, for I am holy.” Holiness means living set apart for God, reflecting His character in a sinful world.
The world promotes values contrary to God’s standards, but believers are instructed not to conform to it (Romans 12:2). Holiness involves intentional choices, spiritual discipline, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Jesus modeled holiness through obedience, humility, and love. Holiness is not legalism; it is a response to God’s grace. Titus 2:11–12 teaches that grace empowers believers to live godly lives.
Living holy requires guarding the heart (Proverbs 4:23), renewing the mind through Scripture, and walking in obedience. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to overcome temptation and grow in righteousness.
Holiness brings spiritual authority, intimacy with God, and effective witness. Though challenging, holy living glorifies God and draws others to Christ.
