Early Life and Musical Foundations
Wuni’s journey into music began almost as soon as she could speak. Born into a musically inclined family, she was surrounded by melodies, rhythms, and harmonies that nurtured her natural inclination toward sound and expression. In a striking coincidence that feels prophetic in hindsight, she was named “Tracy” after the legendary American singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman, a subtle foreshadowing of her own musical destiny.
By the tender age of two, Wuni was already singing and displaying an uncommon sensitivity to music. Her parents quickly recognized that her gift was more than a childhood hobby—it was a calling worth cultivating. At the age of ten, she was enrolled in formal piano lessons, laying a technical foundation for her musical journey. After just a year of structured training, Wuni took remarkable initiative by continuing her development through online learning resources and seeking mentorship from experienced local musicians. This self-driven pursuit of excellence became a defining trait in her growth as an artist and minister.
Her developing skill soon became a blessing to her community. Wuni began serving in churches that lacked instrumentalists, offering her gift as a pianist where it was needed most. These early experiences not only sharpened her musicianship but also deepened her faith, humility, and understanding of ministry as service.
Spiritual Roots and Early Ministry
Raised in the Assemblies of God denomination, Wuni was immersed in a faith environment that encouraged worship, prayer, and spiritual discipline. From a young age, she actively served as both a worship leader and pianist in various congregations, including Grace Pentecostal Assemblies of God, Soul Winning Assemblies of God, and several other churches across Ghana. These formative years were instrumental in shaping her theology of worship—not as performance, but as a sacred offering unto God.
At just fourteen years old, Wuni began writing songs. Her songwriting process was deeply spiritual and often spontaneous, inspired by moments of prayer, everyday reflections, and even dreams. Many of her melodies and lyrics were birthed in divine encounters, reinforcing her conviction that worship is heaven-inspired and Spirit-led. During this period, she drew significant inspiration from globally recognized worship leaders such as Ntokozo Mbambo, William McDowell, Micah Stampley, and other gospel greats whose music aligned with her growing hunger for God.
Leadership, Creativity, and Influence
Wuni’s leadership qualities emerged early. While in high school, she founded the Best of the School Band, becoming its first female president. This initiative was groundbreaking, not only because of her age and gender, but because of the culture of excellence and worship she instilled within the group. The band provided a platform for students to discover and develop their musical gifts while fostering unity and spiritual expression. Remarkably, the band continues to thrive today—a testament to the lasting impact of her leadership.
Global Ministry and Expansion
Following her post-secondary education, Wuni became actively involved with OVERFLOW INC, a global music community that originated in Ghana and focuses on worship, creativity, and spiritual expression. In 2015, she relocated to Canada, a transition that marked a new chapter in her ministry journey. Her commitment and leadership soon led to her appointment as Head of OVERFLOW INC Canada, a role through which she expanded her influence and connected with a broader international gospel community.
Her ministry footprint continued to grow as she served as a worship leader across multiple Canadian provinces. Beginning in Winnipeg, she led worship at churches such as Church of Pentecost, NextGen Worship Centre, and Redeemed Christian Church of God. Today, she serves as a Worship Leader at Calvary Worship Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, where her ministry continues to touch lives and cultivate deep worship experiences.
Throughout her journey, Wuni has collaborated with notable gospel artists including Phil Thompson, MOG Music, Daniel Ojo, and Theodora Bessem. She also draws ongoing inspiration from worship legends such as CeCe Winans, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Juanita Bynum, and William McDowell, whose ministries have shaped global worship culture.
Music Career and Artistic Milestones
Wuni officially debuted as a recording artist in April 2022 with her powerful single “JESUS”, a song that boldly centers on the supremacy and saving power of Christ. This was followed by “This Kind Love” in February 2023, a heartfelt collaboration featuring MOG Music that further established her as a rising voice in gospel music.
In December 2024, she launched Seasons of Worship with Wuni, a transformative worship series designed to cultivate prayer, reflection, and intimacy with God. The initiative reflects her desire to move beyond songs into sustained spiritual encounters. Complementing this, Wuni hosts a weekly live worship session every Friday at 10 PM PST on Instagram, creating a consistent virtual altar where believers from around the world gather in worship and encouragement.
Her most recent release, “ALL I WANT”, launched in February 2025, continues this trajectory—expressing deep longing for God and complete surrender to His will.
