Sabina D’Great Celebrates Cancer-Free Milestone After Extensive Treatment Journey

Houston, Texas | September 2026

Award-winning radio and media personality, gospel minister, and philanthropist Sabina D’Great, popularly known as NaijaPastor, is celebrating a significant milestone following an extensive cancer treatment journey. After undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and immunotherapy, Sabina has received medical confirmation that she is now cancer-free, marking a deeply emotional chapter in her life and ministry.

Sabina’s health journey began in April 2024, when she discovered a lump in her breast. Following medical examinations and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer on March 25, 2025.

Initially, Sabina chose to keep the diagnosis within a close circle of family members, friends, ministry leaders, and trusted prayer partners. During the difficult season, she anchored her faith on Isaiah 53:5, while also committing herself to the medical treatment and professional care required for her condition.

Her treatment journey was extensive and challenging. It involved chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and immunotherapy, with the early stages proving particularly difficult. Following her first chemotherapy cycle, Sabina experienced severe complications that required emergency medical intervention and critical care. Despite the physical and emotional challenges, she continued with her treatment journey.

Throughout the process, Sabina was surrounded by a strong support system. Her daughter Debbie, siblings, church communities, friends, ministry partners, and numerous prayer partners stood with her. Their prayers, encouragement, generosity, and practical assistance helped sustain Sabina and her family during some of the most difficult moments of the journey.

A major turning point came after her surgery in October 2025. At a subsequent post-surgery appointment, Sabina received what she calls her “Proof of Testimony”—a medical report indicating that there was no detectable cancer.

The journey continued through additional treatment, however, as she completed the various stages of her prescribed care. On August 24, 2026, Sabina marked the completion of her treatment by ringing the final bell at the Precision Cancer Center in Katy, Houston. She was surrounded by her oncologist, Dr. Monalisa Alatar, Dr. Kevin, chemotherapy nurses, loved ones, and members of her support network.

Her breast specialist and surgeon, Dr. Tamara Saunders, and radiologist Dr. Pham, subsequently cleared her, marking another significant milestone following the extensive treatment process.

Reflecting on the extraordinary journey, Sabina describes her experience with a powerful declaration:

“God gave me a testimony that sounds like a lie.”

For Sabina, however, the testimony is not simply about reaching the end of treatment. She acknowledges the many people and professional processes that played important roles in helping her through the experience. While her faith remained central to her journey, she also recognizes the importance of medical professionals, treatment, family support, prayer, and the practical assistance provided by people around her.

She gives special honour to her daughter, Debbie, who served as her primary caregiver during some of the most challenging periods of treatment. Sabina also expresses gratitude to her siblings, friends, churches, ministry communities, and everyone who supported her and her family spiritually, emotionally, and financially.

Her journey also carried a painful dimension of personal loss. In April 2026, while recovering from cancer treatment and preparing to return to active life, Sabina lost her beloved eldest sister, Flora. The loss brought another difficult emotional season, with Sabina describing the period that followed as one marked by grief and depression even as she continued her own recovery.

Today, Sabina is choosing to transform the experience into a message of hope, faith, resilience, gratitude, and encouragement. Rather than keeping her story private, she hopes her experience can become a source of strength for people navigating difficult circumstances.

An important part of her message is the recognition that faith and medical care can exist together. Her testimony reflects her belief in God's healing while also acknowledging the medical professionals and treatment processes that formed part of her journey.

“Yahweh heals,” Sabina says. “He may use a route you are not familiar with, but Yahweh heals.”

With her treatment journey now completed, Sabina is opening herself to speaking engagements, partnerships, and collaborations across gospel, secular, community, and advocacy platforms. She is particularly interested in opportunities that enable her to share a message of hope and encouragement with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Her story is also connected to her wider ministry, media, and social-impact initiatives, including Perfect Realm Worship Ministries, Deborah-David Care Aide Network, Sabina Alfred Media, The Alfred-Winifred Women Foundation, Pennet Services, and Joyful Connections.

From the discovery of a lump, through diagnosis, intense treatment, complications, surgery, radiation, immunotherapy, personal loss, and recovery, Sabina's journey has been marked by moments of fear, faith, pain, support, perseverance, and gratitude.

Today, she looks back on the journey with a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to encourage others facing their own battles.

Her testimony can be summed up in one powerful declaration:

FROM AGGRESSIVE CANCER TO CANCER-FREE.

To God be all the glory.
